Schools Liaison Service
At Tipperary Institute we appreciate that choosing what to study and where to study is a difficult decision for students. There are many factors to consider, from course availability to college location and costs. Tipperary Institute aims to assist second level students that may be interested in the Institute’s courses through our Schools Liaison Service.
Our School Visits Programme
The Institute’s Schools Liaison Officer, Ann McBride is available to visit schools and other learning centres to present information on programmes offered at TI and to provide students with relevant information that they require about TI when making their CAO choices.
We are also happy to visit schools and set-up an information stand during lunch hour to answer queries from students. In addition, our lecturers are also available to provide detailed presentations on specific programmes. These can be booked through the Schools Liaison Officer.
Our Campus Visits Programme
We are happy to arrange visits to either of our campuses at Thurles and Clonmel where students can view our facilities at firsthand. We welcome individual and group bookings. Visits can include tours of campus, programme presentations and meeting with academic staff.
Attendance at Careers Exhibitions
Tipperary Institute participates at a variety of careers exhibitions and events, both locally and nationwide.
Talks for Guidance Counsellors and Parents
Course talks are available for Guidance Counsellors and Parents groups.
Publications
Tipperary Institute’s Prospectus and other Institute literature are updated annually and distributed to all schools and learning centres nationwide. They are also distributed at the various careers exhibitions attended by TI. Students can also access college publications and detailed programme information on the Institute’s website.
